At Swan Community Connect Incorporated, we use social media to inform, engage, and connect with the community. Our platforms (including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram) are intended to promote inclusion, share updates, celebrate community stories, and provide useful information about our programs and services.

By interacting with us on social media, you agree to follow this social media policy, which supports respectful communication and protects the wellbeing of our community.
1. Purpose of Our Social Media Channels

2. Community Guidelines
We encourage open, constructive dialogue and welcome your contributions. However, we ask that all users:

Stay on topic and avoid posting spam or unrelated content

Do not post personal or sensitive information (yours or others’)

Posts or comments that violate these guidelines may be hidden, deleted, or reported. Users who repeatedly breach these expectations may be blocked or banned from our pages.
3. Moderation
Our pages are monitored during business hours (AWST), and we do our best to respond to comments and questions in a timely manner. While we welcome your feedback, we may not always be able to respond to every message or comment, especially outside of business hours. Some of our posts will be scheduled and automatically posted, when this occurs outside of business hours the posts will not be actively monitored until the next business day.

We reserve the right to remove or moderate any content that:

4. Privacy and Consent
We will only publish images, names, or stories from community members with their informed consent, unless it relates to publicly available or previously published material. If you believe content has been shared inappropriately, please contact us and we will review it promptly.

Please note: social media platforms are public forums. If you wish to discuss a private matter or access support, we encourage you to contact us directly. You can do this by using our online enquiry form (available at www.swancommunityconnect.org.au/connectwithus), emailing hello@swancommunityconnect.org.au, or by phoning 0411 957 441.
5. Sharing Our Content
We welcome the sharing of our posts and content, provided:

Swan Community Connect is credited and the information is not altered, misrepresented, or used for commercial purposes

You do not link from a website, social media page, or social media profile that misrepresents or negatively impacts the reputation of Swan Community Connect, its team, or its community partners

Swan Community Connect reserves the right to request removal of unauthorised shares, links or uses of its content at any time.
6. Reporting Misuse
If you see content on our pages that concerns you or violates these guidelines, please report it to us or to the platform directly using their reporting tools.
Swan Community Connect reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Updates will be published on our website and social media platforms.
